I agree that Nirerin is a fascinating principle that looks excellent in
its own right. As well as having rotational, palindromic and double
symmetry, it also has original division heads (in the rotation used),
giving an easy coursing order to follow.

Words like this (rotationally symmetrical) are called ambigrams, which is one itself if you use the right font. However, a more obvious example is swims.
